Process Development Manager / Manufacturing Project Manager

Our client is dedicated to advancing the potential of plastics. Their colorant and additive technologies are engineered to improve the aesthetics, sustainability, performance and processing of plastic products. An opportunity has now arisen for a Process Development Manager / Manufacturing Project Manager to join their team.
This role would suit a project manager with experience in a manufacturing environment looking to further their career with a company offering excellent benefits and scope for progression.
As a Process Development Manager / Manufacturing Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating the company’s stage-gate development process. You will also be responsible for ensuring the associated documentation and records are accurate and up to date.
You will also be required to support project managers or act as a project manager for some of the company’s strategic projects. These products are related not only to product development, but also to IT, supply chain and operations.
As a Process Development Manager / Manufacturing Project Manager, you will be tasked with:
- Managing your projects
- Managing the stage-gate development process from concept to commercialisation
- Reviewing decision gates
- Developing, creating and implementing a future development process plan
- Leading non-development projects, such as IT and operations
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Significant project management experience
- Experience gained within a manufacturing environment
- A degree (or equivalent)
- Knowledge or experience of the Stage Gate concept
Additionally, as a Process Development Manager / Manufacturing Project Manager you will possess excellent co-ordinating and influencing skills. A good leadership style is also a prerequisite.
Although not essential, experience of working within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry would be a distinct advantage to your application. The ability to speak an additional language would also be beneficial.
